A 180 CDI with emissions of only 98 g CO2 per kilometre – A1 performance: A-Class receives Environmental Certificate

With fuel savings of up to 26 percent, emissions as low as 98 g CO2/km, a best-in-class Cd value of 0.27 and all petrol-engine variants complying with the Euro 6 emissions standard, the A-Class sets new benchmarks in efficiency. Its high environmental performance has now also been confirmed by the inspectors at the TÜV Süd technical inspection authority, who have awarded the sporty compact model from Mercedes the Environmental Certificate in accordance with ISO standard TR 14062. This certification is based on a comprehensive ecological life-cycle assessment of the A-Class, documenting every detail of ecological relevance. The A-Class for driving schools: Passing the test with flying colours

Following the market launch of the new A-Class on 15 September, delivery of the model designed for use as a driving school vehicle has now commenced. Two special equipment packages are available, supplemented by the “toBE” special driving school model. But it is not only young road users looking to obtain their driving licence who will be able to experience the Mercedes way of driving: RoadSense, the interactive road safety education programme for 8th grade pupils, is also being switched over to the new A-Class. New A-Class now available as a model car: The compact car in compact form

The new A-Class is currently rolling into collectors’ display cabinets in three different scales – 1:18, 1:43 and 1:87. These hand-assembled miniatures, produced in partnership with model car specialists Norev, Schuco and Herpa using the original CAD data, are authentic down to the very last detail and feature the same original paint colours as their equivalents on the road.
