We’re back in Bottrop, and, as always, Brabus put a smile on our face. Famed Mercedes-Benz tuner has introduced the B 50 based on the new Mercedes-Benz S 500 (W222).
To make the B 50 worthy of the Brabus badge, engineers increased the turbocharger’s boost, re-mapped the injection and the ignition timing in order to squeeze extra ponies out of the S 500’s 4.7-liter V8, bumping the mill’s output to 540 hp and 820 Nm of torque. The sprint from 0-100 km/h takes 4.8 seconds.
For visual highlights Brabus designers have developed a body conversion kit with sporty and elegant style. The components are manufactured in OEM quality from high-end PUR plastics and carbon fiber, and lend the luxury sedan a dynamic visual upgrade and optimize aerodynamic efficiency.
Front bumper is made more striking visually with the Brabus front spoiler lip and the front bumper attachments. The side of the each front fender is upgraded with a Brabus design element made from clear-coated carbon fiber.
The Brabus aerodynamic-enhancement concept is rounded off with the Brabus rear spoiler lip and the rear bumper with integrated clear-coated diffuser and tailor-made cutouts for the Brabus sport exhaust system.
The exclusive look also includes appealing Brabus Monoblock wheels.
