Spy Shots: 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222) loses some camouflage

As we get closer to the reveal date for the new S-Class, the prototypes are showing more and more skin.

The air intakes at the front suggest a new styling direction is going to be used, influenced by the F 700 Concept of 2007.

Under the bonnet, the S-Class will use the new MoVe family of modular V6 and V8 engines. There will also be a plug-in hybrid mode, as well as at least one AMG, the S 63 using the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8.

We know from a previous sighting what the interior looks like. The middle section of the center console has disappeared, indicating toward the use of a touchscreen.

The new S-Class will also be packed with advanced safety systems and even a scanner that actively adjust the suspension based on the road ahead of the car.

Enjoy!
