Maybach and the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in London

One of the highlights of the UK’s social season in 2011 was Maybach’s support of the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion. Located in the heart of one of London’s Royal Parks, the stunning Pavilion was designed by renowned Swiss architect Peter Zumthor.

The remarkable building was a peaceful haven amidst the hubbub of London life, where people could contemplate anything they wished.

Maybach UK hosted an exclusive reception event that enjoyed the patronage of over 70 owners, prospects and friends of the Serpentine Gallery – as well as well-known celebrities like Yasmin Le Bon. Nick Fry, CEO MERCEDES GP PETRONAS, addressed guests during a champagne reception, alongside Maybach’s Global Brand Manager Patrick Marinoff and Head of Maybach UK Operations, Nigel Unsworth.

“The Maybach brand is synonymous with understated elegance coupled with incredible luxury, and the Serpentine Gallery was the perfect way to express these values to visitors. The Maybach reception and dinner was the most exclusive event in town, and it gave our guests an unrivalled view of this exceptional piece of contemporary architecture. It was the perfect example of how Maybach can open doors that are otherwise closed,” explained Nigel Unsworth.

“In an age when it can be argued that the biggest luxury of all is time and space, we were delighted that thousands of visitors enjoyed this quiet corner of our Capital over the past few months,” he concluded.
